The ACiQ-18-HPD 1.5-ton Extreme Series central inverter heat pump uses advanced inverter technology to convert AC power to DC. This allows the compressor inside the condenser to speed up and slow down, enabling the system to self-adjust its BTU output based on demand. As the weather changes, so does your system's output, ensuring efficient performance.

Learning Condenser

Equipped with advanced sensors, this condenser monitors indoor and outdoor air temperature, duct pressure, refrigerant temperature, and overall performance. During the initial startup, it enters a learning mode, optimizing future operations for maximum efficiency by collecting and storing data.

Adaptive Sizing

With its self-adjusting inverter design, the ACiQ-18-HPD can be sized based on your heating needs. Unlike standard heat pumps that may cause discomfort during summer when sized for heat, this unit automatically adjusts to function like a smaller unit, ensuring ideal cooling performance without excess humidity.

Extreme Heat Technology

The "Extreme Heat" feature extends the heating range down to -22°F. Traditional heat pumps struggle to produce significant heat below 30°F and rely on expensive backup electric heat. The ACiQ-18-HPD uses its inverter to vary refrigerant flow, maximizing heat extraction during extreme cold temperatures. The backup electric heat supplements the heat pump and only takes over below -22°F. The heat pump provides 100% efficiency at 0°F and still delivers 80% at -22°F, saving you up to 75% on cold weather heating bills.
